I came across this resolution when working through a weird issue for a client…
Next time you can’t get backup exec to work, even though everything is done/setup correctly:
On the remote server you are trying to backup – Stop Backup Exec Remote Agent, open the service’s properties and in startup parameters type “-debug”, [...]
Users get: “The remote session was disconnected because there are no Terminal Server License Servers available to provide a license. Please contact the server administrator.”
Solution:
Open Regedit, find this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSLicensing
Right-click on ‘MSLicensing’, select Delete, and then click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Restart the computer.
