It’s all about where you look…

You don’t get very far by only looking at the ground directly in front of you.

You can’t move with purpose if you are constantly scanning the horizon, you will find yourself wandering.

Balancing the micro and macro is the only way to do the right things that will move you in the right direction.

The trick is finding that balance.  And keeping it for a long enough time to get where you want to go.

A hybrid of GTD and Stephen Covey’s Important/Unimportant-Urgent/Non-Urgent grid seems to be the best solution to me.
